Following your feedback, from Monday 7  December we’re simplifying the fflecsi Pembrokeshire service, creating more opportunities for you to get out and about.

How does it work?

fflecsi buses pick you up and drop you off in the service area and not just at a bus stop. A bus picks you up at your request, changing its route so that all passengers can get to where they need to go. fflecsi is designed to help people make essential local journeys.

Book in advance using the app or by calling 0300 234 0300.  You’ll be able to choose from a range of services.  The services have been designed so that everyone in Northwest Pembrokeshire has travel options each week.  This is a really big area, so services vary from day to day – fflecsi may serve one village one day and another the next.

Pembrokeshire

Working with Pembrokeshire Voluntary Transport, Fflecsi offers bus services over North West Pembrokeshire.

Services run different routes each day to ensure that all people in the area can use the service.  Trips must be booked in advance.

You can travel anywhere in the area.  Fflecsi Adult returns start from £4 or £6 for longer journeys. Children can travel for as little as £1.50 return, remember that Welsh concession card holders travel for free and young person MyTravelPass is also accepted

Questions?

Yes. You can use your concessionary card on all fflecsi services.

You pay on the bus using a contactless bank card or Smartcard. We’re sorry but we’re unable to accept cash payments at this time.

The best way to book and manage your journeys is to download our app on your smartphone or tablet but you can still call to book by calling us on 0300 234 0300.

Our app provides you with a quick and easy way to request fflecsi. Once you’ve booked, our app updates you on the current location of your bus, where it’ll pick you up and when it’ll arrive.

If you don’t have a smartphone or tablet you can call us to book on 0300 234 0300.

Your bus will pick you up from a convenient point near to where you are, but this may not be at a bus stop. If you’re using our app, it will show you where your pick-up point is.

If you call us to book, our adviser will explain where your pick-up point is.

Our app will tell you when your bus will arrive. Please make sure you’re at your pick-up point in plenty of time.

We need to make sure your fflecsi service runs smoothly as other passengers will be relying on it.  Your bus will wait for you for 2 minutes but will then need to leave to pick up the next passenger.

We’ve created new bus stops especially for the fflecsi, so most people will have a fflecsi stop close by.  If you have mobility difficulties, which will make it difficult for you to get to the bus stop, we may be able to arrange to pick you up from outside your home.  Please note that extra time will be required to put these arrangements in place before you book your first journey.  Please call us on 0300 234 0300 for more information

Yes, the fflecsi service uses a wheelchair accessible minibus, with space for one wheelchair or Class 2 mobility scooter.  Before you travel for the first time, we will need to assess your wheelchair or mobility scooter to ensure the drivers can put in place the right arrangements for you to access the service safely. Please call us on 0300 234 0300 for more information.  Please note that extra time will be required to put these arrangements in place before you book your first journey.

This is a pilot being run by local operators, councils and Transport for Wales to see how well responsive travel serves our communities.

If the pilot goes well, we’ll plan to introduce fflecsi to more service areas working in partnership with local operators.

We’ll  develop new ways to book  in  the coming months, including enabling you to book in advance on buses which will link with rail services

By booking the service you want to use, we can make sure that our buses pick-up only as many passengers as can be safely carried while maintaining social distancing.

Our buses are deep cleaned every night and we regularly clean main customer touchpoints such as hand poles and grab rails.

You pay on the bus using a contactless bank card or Smartcard. We’re sorry but we’re unable to accept cash payments at this time.

fflecsi services are provided by local bus operators working with councils and Transport for Wales.
